Trivia PowerPoint Template
A good trivia PowerPoint has a topics slide, a title slide for every round, one big numbered question per slide, and a strong finish. On-Tap Trivia sends a finished one every Monday for US$49 a week. Your own team runs it from a laptop on your TV.
Anatomy of a Trivia PowerPoint
Four slide types do most of the work. These are real slides from a recent On-Tap Trivia pack.

Show the whole night up front
Open with the night's rounds on one slide. Teams start talking strategy before the first question. Ours also asks each team to pick a Double Points round, which gives every table a reason to stay to the end.

Give every round a title slide
Round number, round name, points on offer and a one-line instruction. It resets the room, tells latecomers where you are, and gives the bar a natural moment to take orders.

One question per slide, big and numbered
Large type, high contrast and a number in the corner so teams can match it to the Answer Booklet. Mix in pictures and multiple choice so the room is not just listening.

End each round on a puzzle
A run of clues that all point to one answer. Every On-Tap round finishes with Bonus Baffler clues, worth 10 points, so a team that had a bad round can still claw back.
The Answers and the Finish
However the answers come back to the room, the host needs every one in hand to mark booklets and settle arguments. In an On-Tap pack they are all on the Host Q & A Sheet, with extra information and helpful hints. Then close the night with something that gets people out of their seats. Every pack ends with the Bonus Game.
Trivia Slide Tips That Work in a Bar
Making your own deck? The design is the quick part. These are the details that decide whether the back table can play.
Use a 16:9 layout so the slides fill a modern TV without black bars.
Keep text large enough to read from the back table. If it needs a second line, the question is probably too long.
Use light text on a dark background, or the reverse. Low contrast disappears under bar lighting.
Number every question slide and keep the numbers in the same corner all night.
Keep the answers somewhere the room cannot see them early, and make sure the host has every one in hand.
Save the finished deck as a PowerPoint Show (.ppsx) so it opens straight into the slideshow.
Run through it once on the actual screen, with the sound on, before the doors open.
The hard part is the questions
A template gives you the look. It does not give you 50 fresh, checked questions every week, a Host Q & A Sheet, Answer Booklets and a Bonus Game. That is what arrives every Monday. Try two full nights before you pay anything.

How Our PowerPoint Runs at Your Bar
PowerPoint and PDFs, a laptop and a screen. No app, no account to log in to on the night.
Download on Monday
Your pack arrives every Monday as PowerPoint and PDFs. Your host has the week to read it over.
Print the PDFs
Print the Host Q & A Sheet for whoever is on the mic, and one Answer Booklet for each team. Put pens on the tables.
Open the PPSX
Copy the PPSX file to a laptop connected to your TV or projector, with sound. Double-click it and the first slide is on screen.
Your team hosts
A bartender, manager or outgoing regular clicks through the slides and reads from the Host Q & A Sheet, which has every question, every answer and helpful hints.
Mark, score, finish strong
Staff mark the Answer Booklets against the Host Q & A Sheet between rounds. Close with the Bonus Game, announce the winners and plug next week.
Why bother? A trivia night keeps guests in their seats for about 2 hours, and the average guest orders 3.5 drinks across the night. See how trivia works for bars or weekly trivia pack pricing.

Trivia PowerPoint FAQ
We do not hand out a blank template. For a bar, a blank deck is the easy part; writing and checking 50 good questions every week is the hard part. Instead you can download two complete trivia nights free, each a finished PowerPoint with the Host Q & A Sheet and Answer Booklets as PDFs. No credit card.
A topics slide that shows the night's rounds, a title slide for each round with its points, one numbered question per slide, a puzzle or bonus to end each round, and something to close the night. The host also needs every answer in hand, which in an On-Tap pack is the Host Q & A Sheet.
A PPSX is a PowerPoint Show file. It opens straight into the slideshow instead of the editing view, so your host double-clicks it and the first slide is on the TV. Standard PowerPoint is all you need to present it.
Five rounds of ten questions, with Bonus Baffler clues at the end of each round. The night finishes with the Bonus Game. A trivia night runs about 2 hours.
A laptop, a TV or projector it can connect to, sound, a microphone, and a printer for the Answer Booklets. If your bar shows sports, you probably have most of it already.
PowerPoint and PDFs. The slides are a PowerPoint file you run as a PPSX. The Host Q & A Sheet, Answer Booklets and marketing poster are PDFs you can open in any PDF reader.
Your own team hosts it. A bartender, manager or regular runs the room from the Host Q & A Sheet, so there is no host fee to pay.
A new trivia night every week is US$49, with no setup fee and no lock-in contract. A single pack for a one-off event is US$69.
